High Speed 2 (Phase 2B)

Client: Bechtel

What we did:

  • Led engagement activities for the highly controversial South Yorkshire section of the proposed High Speed 2 route
  • Engaged with high-profile stakeholders including influential MPs, council leaders and chief executives
  • Advised on the recruitment of a large team of stakeholder engagement specialists during the mobilisation of the Project Development Partner

Lower Thames Crossing

Client: Arcadis

What we did:

  • Advised, planned and carried out programmes of stakeholder engagement in support of project design development phases and to generate advocacy.
  • Led a large team of stakeholder engagement professionals during the development phase of the project.
  • Designed and implemented the project’s Integrated Stakeholder Engagement and Communications Plan.
  • Managed engagement with stakeholder groups including local communities, local and statutory authorities, industry and environmental bodies

Crossrail

Client: Crossrail Ltd/Transport for London

What we did:

  • Two of our directors worked as employees of Bechtel as part of an integrated team to manage marketing communications. Responsible for events, publications, community investment, filming, graphics, brand management, PR campaigns and developing communications strategy and supporting on media relations.
  • Drafted contractual works information regarding community relations and communications for all the enabling works and main works contractors.
  • Liaised with local communities: building trust and relationships, sharing project information and works notifications, complaints management. Set up and ran Community Investment Programme.

Crossrail 2

Client: Transport for London

What we did:

  • Led stakeholder engagement and consultation activities for the Crossrail 2 proposals in the boroughs of Haringey and Enfield.
  • Designed the project’s Integrated Stakeholder Engagement Plan – specifying engagement objectives and engagement activities covering local authorities, major asset owners, environmental bodies, politicians and local communities.
  • Managed public consultation activities for the Crossrail 2 proposals at Seven Sisters, Tottenham Hale, Wood Green, Turnpike Lane, Alexandra Palace and New Southgate.
  • Designed the project’s stakeholder mapping tools.
  • Led stakeholder engagement with senior strategic stakeholders within Haringey and Enfield Councils (CEO, Leader and other senior officials and members).
  • Commissioned and managed the delivery of CGI visualisations for the Crossrail 2 station proposals.

Cycle Superhighway 1

Client: City of London, Hackney and Haringey Councils

What we did:

  • Primary contact for the scheme on all matters relating to community engagement.
  • Co-ordinated information relating to construction work schedules ensuring stakeholders were had prior notification before works commenced
  • Established community engagement practices for TfL Surface’s Road Modernisation Programme
  • Established a working relationship with three London Boroughs where the cycle route passed through and liaised with local businesses that were affected by the construction works associated with the Cycle route
  • Developed community training modules to ensure consistency of approach throughout the construction team
  • Engaging with people in a diverse area where religious sensitivities were present and ensuring that they were respected.

LOCROS Lift Schemes East

Client: HOCHTIEF Construction

What we did:

  • Liaised with local communities during construction projects: building trust and relationships, sharing project information and works notifications, complaints management, running community ‘liaison panels’, delivering SLNT plans, coordinating Considerate Constructors Scheme requirements and reporting
  • Maintained the understanding and patience of local disrupted communities during periods of night time and weekend working
  • Managed three separate sites concurrently (Maryland, Manor Park and Seven Kings stations)

Eastern AHSN Transformation programme

Client: Eastern Academic Health Science Network

What we did:

  • Communications consultancy advising Eastern AHSN, one of 15 organisations in England driving innovation in the NHS.
  • Devising and delivering communications strategy to promote transformation team’s activities included:
  • Stakeholder mapping workshop and prioritisation plan
  • Targeted social media campaigns

SBRI-Healthcare Programme

Client: SBRI Healthcare

What we did:

  • Communications consultancy advising SBRI Healthcare, a nationwide organisation that supports the 15 Academic Health Science Networks to drive innovation in the NHS.
  • Production of annual report included:
    • Co-ordination of third party contributors
    • Management of graphic design and layout
    • Technical copywriting

    • Review and edit of three technical papers

What we did:

A5 Roundabout Upgrade

Client: North Midland Construction / Highways England

What we are doing:

  • Community liaison for the A5 roundabout upgrade in Northamptonshire
  • Complaints handling
  • Engagement planning
  • Engagement with locals as well as interested Chambers of Commerce and “strategic” stakeholders
  • Six month project term

A10 Improvements Scheme

Client: Ringway Jacobs / Transport for London

What we did:

  • Provided local stakeholders with advance warning of the projects start date and ensured that there was a firm understanding of what works would be taking place. Ensured that there was local buy-in of the scheme by continually promoting its benefits
  • Produced a Stakeholder Engagement Plan identifying project-critical stakeholders and describing the engagement tactics and communication channels that will be used
  • Produced and distributed all external site communications to local stakeholders keeping them updated on the project and explaining how and when future site activities would take place
  • Established and managed all external enquiries email and phone lines and set a number of KPI’s to monitor our quality and levels of responses
  • Promoted careers within the construction industry within two local secondary schools
